- Types of Nozzles
We divide general laser cutting nozzle into single and double layers. They used a single layer nozzle for melting and cutting, i.e. nitrogen is used as auxiliary gas, and they commonly used it for cutting stainless steel, aluminum alloy, brass, etc. The double-layer nozzle is used for oxidative cutting and they use oxygen as the auxiliary gas, which is commonly used for cutting carbon steel.
- Nozzle Size Selection
The diameter of the nozzle determines the size of the gas flow in the incision, the gas diffusion area and the gas flow rate, which affect the removal of the melt and the stability of the cutting.
If the air flow in the incision is large, the speed is fast and the position of the workpiece in the airflow is suitable. The stronger the ability of the spray to remove the melt, the more the user selects the size of the fiber laser raytool nozzle according to the laser power used and the thickness of the cut metal sheet.
In theory, the thicker the plate, the more nozzle use, the higher the setting pressure of the proportional valve, the higher the flow rate and the pressure is ensured to cut the normal section effect.
