Importance of Marriage according to Islam

Allah Almighty made men and women so they could spend time with each other and have children. He also made them so they could follow his rules and live in peace and quiet. In the Holy Quran, Allah says, “One of His signs is that He made you mates from among yourselves so you could live in peace with them, and He put love and mercy in your hearts.” There is no doubt that these are signs for people who think. (Quran, 30:21). Marriage is very important in Islam, and Islam puts a lot of emphasis on it. There are many good things that can come from marriage. In Muslims countries most of the newly wedded couples which to perform Umrah by using All inclusive umrah packages. That is fabulous tradition.

Importance of Marriage in Islam

The fact that marriage is required in Islam is so important that it is said to be one half of a Muslim’s faith. We can also say that Muslim Marriage is Half Deen. Anas heard the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) say, “When a man gets married, he has done half of his religion, so he should be afraid of Allah for the other half.” Our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) also got married, and he told others to do the same. He said, “If you can support a wife and children but don’t get married, you are not from us.” Marriage is very important in Islam, and it stresses that people shouldn’t wait to get married. Another Hadith of the Prophet (SAW) about marriage says, “Don’t wait in three things: i. The obligatory prayer. ii) The funeral prayer is said when the dead body is there. iii) A woman’s marriage when her perfect partner is found”

Some of the reasons why Islam put so much emphasis on marriage are listed below:

Marriage makes a person who isn’t whole into one who is. Our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) says, “No house has been built in Islam that Allah loves more than marriage.”
It’s important to make the family (for children)
Marriage is one of the most popular Sunnahs in Islam because the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) got married and encouraged others to do the same.
It gives peace, security, and quiet.
It’s a bond of love between not only two people, but also two families.
It is a place where love and happiness can be found.

Aside from this, there are many verses in the Quran that talk about how important marriage is in Islam and in Allah’s eyes. In one part of the Quran, Allah says, “O Humans, worship your Guardian-Lord, Who made you from a single person and gave it a mate of the same nature. From this, He spread (like seeds) many men and women.” Respect Allah, through whom you both claim what is yours (Quran 4:1). In this verse, Allah shows how wise He is by emphasising that all people, whether they are men or women, are equal and making that equality the basis of marriage. This verse lays out the rules for making peace, as well as the fact that husband and wife have different roles that have nothing to do with how good they are as people. Allah has given every person on earth a partner with whom they can start a family. We should put our faith in the All-Mighty Allah and follow His teachings and the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW).

Prophet Mohammad (SAW) said, “Men and women are each other’s twin halves” (Bukhari). This Hadith also points out that both men and women come from the same place. Also, by using the example of twin halves, the Prophet has shown that the relationship between men and women is mutual and interdependent. Since the family is the most important thing in Islamic society and marriage is the only way to start a family,

Allah Almighty likes marriage because it’s in line with his rules for husband and wife to love each other and help each other work to keep the human race going and raise their children to be true servants of Allah.

Conditions of Marriage

When you think about what the Quran says and what the Prophet did, it’s clear that a man must get married if he has enough money to easily pay the Mahr (dowry) and take care of a wife and children. Both people must be free to get married and have the legal ability to do so. Their parents (the woman’s father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, etc.) must be at the proposal and acceptance at the same time. The rules about marriage include rules about blood and milk kinship, which must be kept. There can’t be any other things that either side wants that could stop the Nikah. Both the bride and the groom must be of age, and the bride and the groom must be pure.

Benefits of Marriage

Islam has a list of things that are good for both this world and the next, and some of the best things about marriage are listed below.

By getting married, you’re following the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (PBUH), who said, “Young people! “Everyone who can get married should get married.” (Al Bukhari)
Marriage makes sure that a person is physically and spiritually pure and at peace. It also keeps a couple from falling into Satan’s traps and falling apart. Allah SWT talked about chastity in a verse: “And those who guard their chastity (i.e., don’t do illegal sexual acts with their private parts)” (Quran, 23:5).
Through marriage, two people can learn to care for, forgive, and love each other. Allah (SWT) says, “He has put love and kindness between you.” (Quran, 30:21)
When two people get married, they will have children who are good. It is the only way for the next generation to live, and having good children brings great and good rewards.
Couples who have children and raise them according to Islamic teachings will also get good rewards.
By getting married and doing what her husband wants, a believer’s wife can go to heaven.
A good wife is the best thing this world has to offer. “This world is only a provision, and there is no provision better than a righteous wife,” said the Prophet (PBUH). (Muslim)
Marriage makes husbands and wives more stable, loving, respectful, caring, selfless, and willing to forgive.

Here are some of the good things about marriage that we talked about. In a Muslim society, where a wife and husband live happily with their children and families, Islam encourages love, care, and respect. In Islam, marriage teaches both men and women to be willing to make sacrifices and stick it out for their life partner. The main goal of marriage is to protect people from sin and help them live a life that is in line with Islam.
