Chapter 1045 of One Piece, titled “Next Level,” is the latest addition to the manga.
After Luffy’s devil fruit awakening, he and Kaidou are evenly matched. The manga art distorts to a more cartoonish style, showing just how ridiculously overpowered the two men are.
Luffy’s clothes turn white, and he turns into a giant. He grabs Kaidou in his dragon form like it’s nothing. He then uses his body as a jump rope.
Kaidou retaliates by burning Luffy and draining all of his energy. Still, Luffy manages to respawn and throws a strong punch that nearly knocks down Kaidou. How exactly is this hysterical battle going to end? We’ll find out in the next chapter of One Piece.
1. Chapter 1046 Discussions and Predictions
The latest chapter has created a sort of divide in the fandom. Some fans love the comedic style of fighting, saying that it goes well with Luffy’s Joy Boy persona, but some disagree, thinking that a serious moment was ruined due to the cartoonish style of the story.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the fight develops, especially since Luffy’s last punch seemed to have a scarring effect on Kaidou. Also, we haven’t seen Zoro in a while, so maybe we can see him in the next chapter, and hopefully, his return could bring back some seriousness to the fight.

The fight between Luffy and Kaido continues with both apparently reaching their limits. Zoro and Sanji also appear in this chapter for a brief moment.

After witnessing his body transformation, Kaidou deduces how Luffy’s powers are the trademark of Zoan powers. Luffy continues laughing, and this frustrates Kaidou. He decides to shut him up and swallows the Straw Hat.
Unfortunately for him, Luffy uses Gum-Gum and violently bounces inside Kaidou’s dragon form. He then inflates his boy like a balloon, making Kaidou shriek in pain. The dragon soars through the air, confused about his situation. He notices his inflation and remarks that his boy isn’t made of rubber.
Luffy finally shoots himself out of Kaidou’s body, revealing that he puffed air inside himself to plum up. He turns into a giant and crushes Kaidou under his foot. Kaidou bites him, but he grabs his snake-like body and uses it as a jump rope.
Kaidou uses his blast breath to burn Luffy, but this enrages the pirate, and he retaliates using his Gum-Gum punch. Kaidou readies his Ragnaraku attack and furiously crashes with Luffy. His punch lands perfectly on Luffy, and the pirate is reduced to his normal size.
As he recovers from the massive blow, Nami notices how Luffy turns white when his Gear 5 is activated.
Kaidou too, notices this and figures out how Luffy uses the colors of Armament and the Supreme King to transfer his power into other things. He is astonished since he has never seen such free-wheeling combat before.
The fight isn’t over yet, and despite having his energy drained out, Luffy picks himself up and gets ready to fight Kaidou again. This time, Kaidou hits him with his weapon and sends Luffy spiraling through the air.
As the chapter ends, Luffy takes this as an opportunity to gain momentum and knocks Kaidou down with a mighty punch.

One Piece Creator Teased Luffy’s Real Devil Fruit Years Ago
If there is one thing manga readers know, it is that Eiichiro Oda is too smart for his own good. The creator of One Piece is a gifted storyteller, and he’s been stringing fans for decades at this point. After all, Luffy is still working to become the King of the Pirates, and his latest battle has brought him closer to realizing that goal than ever before. And after the manga dropped a massive secret about his Devil Fruit, well – it didn’t take fans long to discover Oda foreshadowed it years ago.
The whole thing came around in Fall 2001 if you can believe it. Back then, One Piece was celebrating the release of volume 20, and Oda answered a slew of questions from fans to celebrate. It was there some intrepid readers asked what would happen if a human ate the Hito Hito no Mi, and Oda couldn’t have answered more suspiciously if he tried.
“I suppose I should say they ‘become human’. Uh, I guess you could say that means becoming an adult or finding your true spirit or something. Basically, people will live more human-like. Well, I guess you could say that. Or not. Maybe not. Goodbye,” he wrote.

Clearly, the answer is on edge, and Oda no doubt dramatized it for comedic effect. However, that does not discount the fact it came to pass. Like Tony Tony Chopper and a few others, Luffy ate a Mythical Zoan treat as a child, and the Devil Fruit gifted him with godly powers as such. After all, the Hito Hito no Mi: Nika does free up Luffy’s childish personality as Oda hinted, and he’s definitely living life to the fullest.
Of course, One Piece fans didn’t think twice about this 2001 teaser because – well – we thought we knew the Gomu Gomu no Mi. It turns out the Devil Fruit is far more complicated than fans assumed, and Oda didn’t tease a single thing here about what Luffy’s Hito Hito fruit could do. But as more details come out about the treat, we’re sure fans will find more crumbs from Oda in years past.

One Piece fans were blessed with three great manga chapters that focused on Luffy’s new form. Now, the community wonders what events will unfold in Chapter 1046 of the manga series. Well, here’s everything you need to know about the next chapter’s spoilers.
Eiichiro Oda won everyone’s heart by revealing “Gear 5” of Luffy, which the Straw Hat Pirate captain awakens during the fight with Kaido. One Piece Chapter 1046 Spoilers Revealed
According to the latest leaks, Chapter 1046 of One Piece is titled “Raizo.” Apparently, Raizo will reveal that he has saved something else in his scrolls beside Kaido’s Bolo Breath. Interestingly, he kept the water that Zunisha used to bathe, and he did that when he was in Zou. He got this idea when Oden’s castle burned down 20 years ago.
Now, Raizo uses the water in his scrolls to flood the interior of the castle, and Jinbe is the one who is controlling the water.
Besides this, we’ll see five pages of Luffy vs. Kaido, in which Luffy will take things to the next level. As per the spoilers, Luffy will catch the lightning and move forward to attack Kaido. As expected, Kaido will allow Luffy to try his best to defeat him. There’s no name for Luffy’s final attack as of yet; however, it surely would be interesting to see him catch the lightning.
Finally, the next chapter will also feature Sanji and Zoro in a single panel, where Zoro is being carried away by Franky.
So, these are all the spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1046. Obviously, the chapter will offer so much more than what the spoilers are saying. So, it’s best to read the official chapter when it arrives on Viz Media this weekend.
